Job Description

Metro's Speech Department continues to grow and we are looking for a per diem SLP to work in our outpatient clinic located in Mohegan Lake. Hours are flexible based on your convenience. We have just partnered NYU and will be receiving referrals directly from their system.

Job Type: Per Diem

Pay rate: $60/hour 

Metro is looking for a motivated, compassionate, forward-thinking Speech Therapist who excels at assessing patients' strengths and weaknesses and devising creative but effective treatment plans. We're looking for flexible and all-in teammates who are excited by the opportunity to take on emerging challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates a patient's need for speech therapy and develops an appropriate treatment plan.
  • Provide appropriate care and treatment to patients based on physician care plan, agency policy and professional standards of care.
  • Instructs family members, Home Health Aides, and other caregivers in appropriate speech therapy techniques & HEP
Qualifications
  • Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of New York or eligible.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Must have experience working with both pediatrics and adults
  • Evaluates a patient's need for speech therapy and develops an appropriate treatment plan.
  • Provide appropriate care and treatment to patients based on physician care plan, agency policy and professional standards of care.
  • Instructs family members, Home Health Aides, and other caregivers in appropriate speech therapy techniques & HEP
  • Mandatory Certifications: First Aid, AED, & CPR Certifications (live course)
