Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose patients and discuss personalized treatment plans.
• Administer acupuncture treatments tailored to address various conditions such as addiction, musculoskeletal issues, stress management, and digestive problems.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including mental health professionals and physical therapists, to create comprehensive treatment strategies that align with patients’ wellness goals.
• Utilize a variety of acupuncture techniques, including auricular, electroacupuncture, and traditional needle methods, to provide optimal care.
• Document treatment progress accurately in patient records and communicate results effectively with both patients and the healthcare team.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss case studies, treatment effectiveness, and potential adjustments to patient care plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be serving a diverse patient population ranging from individuals seeking relief from chronic pain to those looking for holistic approaches to mental health challenges like anxiety and depression. Our patients also include those focusing on lifestyle changes, such as stress reduction and overall wellness enhancement. Understanding the unique needs of each patient is vital for delivering compassionate and effective care.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in acupuncture or a related field, with either a Master’s degree or advanced training preferred.
• National Certification from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
• State licensure to practice acupuncture in Virginia.
• A minimum of three years of hands-on acupuncture experience in a clinical setting.
• Ability to establish trust and empathy with patients, offering a person-centered approach.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
