About the Role

Hall Prangle is seeking to hire a part-time associate attorney who has at least three (3) years as a practicing litigator, ideally with experience in medical malpractice or healthcare law. The lateral associate will work with small teams of attorneys and paralegals, led by seasoned trial attorneys with proven track records, all working collaboratively to efficiently provide our clients with the best possible results. 


Responsibilities 

  • Provide legal counsel and representation to the firm's clients from pre-trial through trial
  • Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, written discovery, and agreements
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, trials, and client meetings
  • Conduct legal research and case analysis
  • Collaborate with senior associates and partners on case strategy 
  • Contribute to business development and client relationship management
  • Able to work/bill 10-20 hours per week (with the potential for up to 29 hours per week based on office needs)

 What You will Need to Succeed

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active membership in the Arizona State Bar 
  • At least three (3) years' experience in the defense of medical malpractice cases or practicing healthcare law
  • Strong understanding of State and Federal court rules and procedures
  • Strong litigation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills
  • Exceptional oral and written communication
