Job description

Litigation Attorney
Our client is seeking litigation candidates with 5+ years of experience in all phases of civil litigation. Bankruptcy experience is a plus. A portable business book is preferred. Our diverse litigation practice includes contract, real estate, tort, and commercial litigation. An ideal candidate is proactive, organized and has excellent writing and communication skills. Appellate or Federal Court clerkship experience preferred. Must commit to exceptional client service, be able to manage all aspects of litigation, and mentor younger attorneys. Our firm has a great team atmosphere, the best clients, and a wide variety of interesting work.
Key Responsibilities
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and depositions
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
  • Manage all phases of litigation, including case strategy and risk assessment
  • Oversee discovery processes, including document review, interrogatories, and depositions
  • Advise clients on legal rights, obligations, and potential outcomes
  • Negotiate settlements when appropriate
  • Prepare witnesses and clients for trial
  • Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with deadlines and court requirements
  • Ability to mentor and support junior attorneys
Qualifications
  • Active member in good standing with the Arizona State Bar
  • Minimum 5 years of civil litigation experience
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Experience with legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis)
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines
