Job description

Breast Imaging Radiologist Opportunity

Charleston Radiologists, PA, a well-established independent private practice group, is seeking a fellowship-trained Breast Imaging Radiologist to join our growing team in Charleston, South Carolina. This is a 100% breast imaging position with no call, no nights, no weekends, and 10 weeks of vacation annually. This physician will be based in two outpatient breast centers and serve as the Lead Interpreting Physician, working closely with an outstanding multidisciplinary breast care team. Current mammography volume is ~31,000/year. This position is also supported by four general radiologists, each of whom have extensive breast imaging experience.

Qualified Candidates:

  • Board certified or board eligible with the American Board of Radiology
  • Have a South Carolina license or the ability to get a South Carolina license prior to starting
  • Fellowship trained

Practice Highlights:

  • 18 radiologists, all fellowship-trained in diagnostic and interventional subspecialties
  • Supported by 2 NPs and 1 PA
  • Providing services to 3 HCA Healthcare hospitals in Charleston for over 50 years
  • Two outpatient breast imaging centers: one provides services 5 days/week and the other 3 days/week.
  • Dedicated support from breast surgeons, medical oncologists, and radiation oncologists

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Screening and diagnostic mammography (Hologic/ SecureView / PenRad)
  • Breast ultrasound
  • Breast MRI (3T)
  • Image-guided biopsies: stereotactic, ultrasound, and MRI-guided
  • Savi Scout clip placements
  • Lymphoscintigraphy injections
  • Lead Interpreting Physician for breast imaging services
  • Optional: Opportunity to perform general diagnostic imaging if desired
