Mammography Technologist Travel Assignment

Join our team as an experienced Mammography Technologist for a travel assignment in Richmond, VA. In this role, you will perform specialized breast imaging examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease. You will work independently and collaboratively with the breast diagnostic team to deliver patient-centered care using modern mammography equipment and imaging systems.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Mammography (M).
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • Experience performing screening and diagnostic mammography exams. Two years of mammography experience preferred.
  • Experience with Hologic mammography equipment preferred.
  • Familiarity with documentation and imaging systems such as Penrad and Sectra preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team while providing excellent patient care.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Contrast Enhanced Mammography (CEM) preferred.
  • Experience with Ambry (high risk breast program) and Expanse registration/demographics systems preferred.
  • Experience in a hospital-based breast diagnostic or outpatient mammography center preferred.
Assignment Details
  • Shift hours: 07:30 – 16:00.
  • Schedule includes Monday through Friday with occasional Saturday half-day coverage approximately every 3–4 months.
  • Department equipment: three Hologic mammography units including Contrast Enhanced Mammography capability.
  • Documentation systems used: Penrad and Sectra for images; Ambry for high-risk breast program; Expanse for registration/demographics.
  • Floating policy: no floating to other facilities.
  • Required uniform: scrubs in bright pink and/or black (any combination or all pink).
