Job description

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Pellet Mill Operator with strong PLC experience to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining pellet mill equipment, with a heavy focus on PLC-controlled systems, to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate pellet mill and related production machinery in accordance with company standards
  • Monitor and adjust PLC-controlled equipment to maintain optimal production performance and product quality
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PLC systems, controls, and automated processes
  • Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs to minimize downtime
  • Interpret system data, alarms, and fault codes to quickly identify and correct issues
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain compliance with OSHA and company guidelines
  • Accurately document production data, machine settings, and maintenance activities
  • Communicate effectively with maintenance and production teams to resolve technical issues
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing or industrial setting required
  • Strong experience with PLC operations, controls, and troubleshooting is required
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve automation and control system issues
  • Experience with pellet mills or similar processing equipment is a plus
