Fusion Technology is a performance-driven HUBZone Small Business concern residing in the heart of the beautiful mountainsides of West Virginia, steps away from the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Criminal Justice Information Services Division's Headquarters. Position Location: Clarksburg, WV (onsite preferred, remote work possible)

Who are you?

Security-cleared Professional: A DOD Secret Clearance is required to be considered for this position.

Education and Experience: You have a Bachelor's Degree with 12-15 years of experience or a Master's Degree with 10-13 years of prior experience.

  • Expertise in Pega Business Orchestration and Automation Technology is required.
  • Expertise in backend development in one or more programming languages is required (Java, Spring Boot, automated testing experience with end-to-end testing, regression testing, integration testing, etc.)
  • Experience in Lean-Agile development, Agile IT project management, planning, metrics review events.
  • Experience with Agile project management software such as Jira, Confluence, etc.
  • Knowledge of working with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.)
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as Gitlab.
  • Knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and system scalability.
  • Must hold active Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue).
  • One or more Pega Systems certifications (e.g.: Pega Systems Architect, Pega Senior Systems Architect).
  • Experience integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) into IT systems for enhanced performance and functionality.
  • Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices interfaces.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools (Hashicorp Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
  • Experience with observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Elastic Search).
  • Automated testing with SmartBear SoapUI and Selenium/Zalenium.

What you'll do:

The ideal candidate has experience in utilizing Pega Business Orchestration and Automation Technology (BOAT) in the development and sustainment of systems. A demonstrated ability with cloud-native architectures, testing, and modern CI/CD practices and tools, while also being comfortable contributing across the full stack when needed. Duties include computer programming, documenting, managing configuration, testing, and bug fixing involved in creating and maintaining applications and frameworks involved in a software release life cycle and resulting in a software product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply Pega Business Orchestration and Automation Technology in the on-going development and operational sustainment of large, complex IT systems.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and PI planning events.
  • Responsible for performing software engineering functions, including design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging software programs for enhancements and new software-intensive systems.
  • Applies appropriate principles, standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the software development life cycle.
  • Influences development of solutions that impact strategic project/program goals and business results.
  • Recommends and develops new technical solutions, products, and/or standards in support of functions' strategy and operations.
  • Lead and manage the work of other technical staff that has significant impact on project results/outputs.
  • Resolves highly complex problems using significant application of technical knowledge, conceptualization, reasoning and interpretation.
  • Develops solutions that are highly innovative and achieved through research and integration of best practices.
  • Requires ability to communicate with executive leadership (internally or client) regarding matters of significant importance to the organization/project.
  • Has in-depth understanding of technical principles, theories, concepts and their application.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert within technical domain area.
  • Design and develop scalable backend services, APIs, and microservices.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, customers, and engineers to deliver new features.
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code following best practices.
  • Review code and mentor junior engineers.
  • Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure for application.
