Position Overview
Our Fortune 500 client located in Rye, NY is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to support enterprise workflow automation, customer operations, and digital transformation initiatives. This role will partner with business stakeholders, Product Owners, architects, developers, and QA teams to analyze business processes, gather requirements, and deliver scalable enterprise solutions built on modern workflow and case management platforms.
The ideal candidate has strong experience documenting business requirements, facilitating stakeholder discussions, supporting Agile software delivery, and working with enterprise applications such as Pega Cloud, Salesforce, Power Platform, and customer workflow solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for a collaborative Business Analyst who enjoys solving complex business problems while helping deliver enterprise technology solutions that improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead business requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders and Product Owners to define business needs and project objectives.
  • Develop clear and comprehensive business and functional documentation, including Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation.
  • Analyze existing business processes and recommend workflow improvements that support operational efficiency and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with developers, solution architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Support enterprise workflow and case management solutions using platforms such as Pega Cloud, Salesforce, and Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Create process flows, workflow diagrams, data mappings, wireframes, and system documentation using tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or similar applications.
  • Assist with data analysis and reporting using SQL, Microsoft Excel, and Power BI to validate business requirements and support decision-making.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect management, release planning, and production deployments.
  • Develop technical documentation including solution documentation, user guides, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and traceability matrices.
  • Assist with troubleshooting application issues and coordinating resolution efforts across technical and business teams.
  • Support initiatives involving AI-powered business solutions and workflow automation technologies where applicable.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 5+ years of Business Analysis or Business Systems Analysis experience supporting enterprise software initiatives.
