Job description

Position Summary

Evergreen (Pipeline) Requisition

This is an evergreen position designed to pro-actively identify and engage highly qualified candidates for future openings across Odyssey's portfolio of acquisition and program management support efforts. While this role is not currently tied to a specific contract, selected candidates may be considered for upcoming positions based on their experience, qualifications, and program needs.

Odyssey is looking for experienced PEG (Program Execution Group)/Program Managers supporting the Helicopter Program Office (HPO) at Wright Patterson AFB, OH.  The HPO supports selected helicopter programs including the HH-60W Combat Rescue Helicopter (CRH) and the MH-139.  The HPO has a mission to rapidly deliver and field new and updated rotary wing aircraft.

Our Program Managers support the government with planning, researching, analyzing and assessing the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of weapons systems and associated equipment acquisitions (development, production and deployment), and formulate plans and recommend strategies to meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives. 

The ISR/SOF Directorate (AFLCMC/WI)  is responsible for equipping our warfighters to win the fight. The Directorate executes a $22 billion acquisition portfolio developing, producing, testing, modifying, fielding, and supporting Air Force ISR and SOF platforms, and related sub-systems.

Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to: 

  • Have the DoD acquisition experience necessary to provide a wide range of acquisition support services.
  • Assist with the management of data collection, inputs, processing and tracking for the Integrated Product Team (IPT), Branch, and Division managers.
  • Assist with the consolidation of information into draft reports and briefings as required.
  • Be capable of using; Defense Acquisition Management Information Retrieval (DAMIR), Comprehensive Cost and Requirements System (CcaRS), Project Management Resource Tools (PMRT), and Portals (AF, HPO) as needed to prepare spreadsheets, briefings, figures, graphics, tables, forms and papers, providing finished products - technical and non-technical, classified and unclassified - in the media and format requested.
  • Assist with the planning and drafting of the Monthly Acquisition Report (MAR).
  • Assist with consolidating information for, generating charts, and facilitating staff meetings for senior program management. Charts include data from various tracking systems (travel, accountability, calendars, top issues, suspenses, personnel actions, etc.).
  • Support the management and tracking of internal and external suspense tasks such as Senior Officer Communication and Coordination Electronic Resource (SOCCER) requirements and other suspenses.
  • Assist with planning and tracking award review boards, award and decoration packages, Contractor Performance Assessment Reporting System (CPARS) inputs for weapon system contractors (not on this A&AS contract), personnel performance reports and feedback.
  • Assist the division with training and preparation of staff summary sheets and packages. The Contractor will assist with consolidating package information that needs to be staffed to AFLCMC/WI, AFLCMC, AFMC, the AF, and DoD and its various organizations in support of the program and leadership.
  • Assist the division with travel approval worksheets, to include drafting estimates and justification for travel. The Contractor will assist with consolidating and staffing travel requests to the division as required.
  • Assist with coordinating all HPO Division's top issues, activity reports, and briefings for the AFLCMC/WI staff meetings.
