We are actively seeking a compassionate and skilled Peer support specialist to join our team full-time. This role is essential to our mission, providing therapy, crisis support, and service coordination for mental health clients in a variety of settings. As a Peer support specialist with Carolina Outreach, you will provide structured and scheduled activities for adults age 18 and older with MH/SA disability.

As part of the ncgCARE network, we are dedicated to improving lives by delivering evidence-based mental health care for children, adolescents, and adults. Our comprehensive range of services include school-based therapy, outpatient treatment, psychiatric evaluations, community support, and substance use services.

Position Description:

  • Assist program participants in the development of skills, confidence, and relationships as they resume
    independent living.
  • Assisting consumers in articulating personal goals for recovery.
  • Provide direct peer counseling based on your own lived experiences.
  • Help participants understand and employ recovery strategies.
  • Assisting consumers in determining the objectives the consumers' needs to take in order to reach their recovery goals.
  • Assisting with setting up self-help groups.

Location: Supply, NC

Compensation: $16.89 - $18.22/ hourly

*Final compensation is determined by factors such as education, licensure level, experience and other qualifications.

  • Completed a recognized Peer Support Training Program Completion Certificate
