Summary

Milestones Resilience Care (MRC) provides services to survivors of psychological trauma using evidence- based practices in treatment and whole-person somatic and creative services to target whole-person healing. The target populations are active duty and retired veterans, first responders, family members, trauma survivors, and others who are suffering from symptoms of combat/deployment stress, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), mood disorders or burnout.

The Resilience Care Navigator (RCN) leads a comprehensive, trauma-informed intake and care-planning process for MRC. This role conducts structured assessments, biopsychosocial interviews, and collaborative goal-setting to develop individualized service plans, while providing ongoing care navigation, coordination, and continuity with the multidisciplinary team.
This position also involves providing support to the Director of Healing and Community Programs for the Lyda Hill Institute for Human Resilience in the areas of Peer Support Training. More specifically Clinician will assist in and conduct training for Peer Support trainings, provide clinical support consulting to peer supporters, and provide training to the community and organizations on resilience, wellness, and mental health. Finally, this position will also include reaching out to organizations that might be interested in peer support or training and workshops to potentially generate new contracts.

Essential Functions

The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide comprehensive, trauma-informed intake and care-planning process for clients in MRC.
  • Provide follow-up consultations at key milestones, monitor client progress and satisfaction, update treatment plans, and ensure timely, accurate documentation for clients in MRC.
  • Deliver and document services according to professional practice standards and the policies of the clinic in a timely manner using the systems available (such as Electronic Medical Records and Scheduling).
  • Participate in team meetings, staffing, and clinical consultations and facilitate care coordination among internal and external providers.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical research protocols and overall clinical services research objectives.
  • Work within a clinical team in a group practice environment.
  • Provide support for current Peer Support program participants.
  • Deliver Peer Support Initial Certification curriculum training developed by the Lyda Hill Institute to program participants as well as necessary on-going/follow-up training.
  • Provide clinical support consulting to trained Peer Supporters.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Lyda Hill Institute and the contracted agencies utilizing its Peer Support Program.
  • Reach out to new organizations that might be interested in peer support to potentially generate new contracts.
  • Assist, as time permits, in other projects that the LHIHR is involved in.

  • Priority will be given to applications submitted by: June 1, 2026.
  • Potential interview dates: June 8, 2026 - June 12, 2026.
  • Potential start date: June 15, 2026.

  • A Master's degree in clinical psychology, Counseling, or other behavioral health fields is required.
  • Licensed or license eligible in Colorado as a Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
  • Experience in using technology- based programs including Microsoft Suite, tele-video conferencing, and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is required.
  • Must have experience with care coordination or case management.
  • Experience developing and providing training on psychological topics is required.
  • Experience working in a clinic or team environment is preferred.
  • Experience with resilience, wellness, or whole-person care models is preferred.

The University of Colorado Colorado Springs has implemented a misconduct history check program with respect to final candidates for specific appointments.
