Peer Support Behavioral Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic team on a full-time or part-time basis. As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Peer Support Behavioral Center, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Collaborating with primary care providers to identify, treat, and manage mental health and psychosocial issues effectively within the primary care setting.
• Conducting comprehensive patient intakes, focusing on diagnostic assessments and functional evaluations, and providing insightful recommendations for treatment goals to primary care providers.
• Delivering targeted therapeutic interventions for patients in need of mental health services, including crisis intervention as necessary.
• Monitoring patient progress and initiating follow-up contact to assess treatment effectiveness, making necessary adjustments to care plans to meet evolving needs.
• Creating and implementing relapse prevention plans to support patient stability and inform care strategies for our most vulnerable clients.
• Documenting patient interactions, outcomes, and diagnostic information meticulously in treatment charts, ensuring compliance with agency and federal guidelines.
• Advising primary care physicians on referrals to specialty mental health facilities when further intervention is required.
• Pursuing ongoing education and training in mental health modalities, including behavioral therapies and psychotherapeutic techniques to enhance service delivery.
• Ensuring adherence to the Code of Ethical Conduct for Clinical Professionals, maintaining professional integrity at all times.
• Contributing to the clinic's quality improvement initiatives by providing feedback and recommendations on behavioral health services.
• Engaging in other duties as assigned that align with the mission and goals of our center.

Our clinic serves a diverse patient population, including individuals and families from various cultural backgrounds, ages, and experiences. Clients may present with a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. • A Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling is a fundamental requirement for this position.
• Possession of a current LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) license is mandatory.
• Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in mental health assessments, treatment planning, and various therapeutic methodologies.
• Familiarity with DSM-IV diagnoses and behavioral therapies is essential for effective patient care.
• Strong communication skills are crucial, with proficiency in both English and Spanish being highly desirable.
• A sound understanding of community resources and how to leverage them for optimal patient support.
• The capacity to engage in self-care and maintain personal mental and physical health adequate for the demands of the role.

• Experience working within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or similar community-based setting is preferred.
• A background in multidisciplinary team collaboration within health care environments enhances candidate suitability.
• Competence in working with culturally diverse clients, showing sensitivity and adaptability to varying needs.

The salary range for this position is competitive, ranging from USD 87,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
