Job description

General Surgical Pathologist with Pediatric Pathology Cape Coral, FL Job Summary We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible General Surgical Pathologist with pediatric pathology expertise to join our Florida-based pathology team. The candidate will provide diagnostic services in general surgical pathology and pediatric pathology while collaborating with multidisciplinary clinical teams to support high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities Interpret and diagnose general surgical and pediatric pathology specimens. Perform gross and microscopic examination of tissue samples and issue pathology reports. Provide frozen section and intraoperative consultation services as needed. Collaborate with clinicians, surgeons, and oncology teams regarding diagnostic findings. Participate in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and laboratory improvement initiatives. Attend tumor boards and multidisciplinary conferences. Support teaching, mentorship, and/or research activities when applicable. Qualifications & Requirements M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school. Completion of AP or AP/CP pathology residency training. Fellowship training or significant experience in Pediatric Pathology preferred. Board certified or board eligible in Anatomic Pathology or AP/CP. Eligible for unrestricted Florida medical licensure. Strong diagnostic skills in surgical pathology and pediatric pathology. Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork abilities.
