How much do pediatric neuroimaging jobs pay per year?
What is the difference between Pediatric Neuroimaging vs Pediatric Neurodiagnostic Technologist?
| Aspect | Pediatric Neuroimaging | Pediatric Neurodiagnostic Technologist |
|---|---|---|
| Required Credentials | Certification in neuroimaging techniques, often ARRT or equivalent | Certification in neurodiagnostic procedures, such as EEG technologist certification |
| Work Environment | Hospitals, imaging centers, research facilities | Hospitals, clinics, specialized neurodiagnostic labs |
| Industry Usage | Used for diagnosing neurological conditions in children via MRI, CT, PET | Used for recording electrical activity of the brain in children with neurological issues |
While both roles involve working with pediatric patients and neurological assessments, Pediatric Neuroimaging focuses on capturing detailed brain images using advanced imaging modalities, whereas Pediatric Neurodiagnostic Technologists primarily record electrical brain activity through techniques like EEG. Both require specialized certifications and are integral to pediatric neurological diagnosis, but they differ in methods and equipment used.
