Job description

Presbyterian Medical Group in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is seeking a full-time Pediatric Interventional Cardiologist to join their established practice. This role focuses on delivering high-quality pediatric interventional cardiology services, primarily in the cardiac catheterization lab, with additional inpatient and outpatient responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have experience with all types of diagnostic and catheter-based cardiovascular interventions.

Practice Info

  • Part of a full-scope pediatric cardiology program
  • Roughly ~200 congenital cardiac interventions performed per year
  • Collegial team of providers as well as CVL and clinic staff

Responsibilities

  • Perform and interpret pediatric and adult congenital cardiac catheterizations and interventions
  • Consult on ED, NICU and PICU patients at Presbyterian hospitals
  • Assist pediatric cardiology, electrophysiology, adult congenital, and pediatric heart surgery colleagues with the management of service and inpatient consults
  • Assist in post-operative cardiology patient management
  • Read pediatric and adult congenital heart disease (ACHD) echos, ECGs and holters
  • Provide patient management for all patients scheduled for clinic
  • Communicate plan with referring providers
  • Be available via phone at all times while on call
