To thrive as a PEB Engineer, you need a strong background in civil or structural engineering, with a relevant engineering degree and understanding of steel structures. Familiarity with design software like STAAD Pro, AutoCAD, and Tekla, as well as knowledge of industry codes and standards, is typically required.
