Peace and Purpose Psychotherapy Center is urgently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic team. Work Environment

As part of our team, you will primarily work remotely, allowing for flexibility while providing care. Our outpatient clinic is dedicated to serving a diverse clientele, ensuring that all interactions are grounded in respect, understanding, and empathy. You will work closely with a supportive multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, other therapists, and health professionals, to ensure that our clients receive comprehensive and integrated mental health care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient's unique trauma history, informing treatment approaches.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on empowering patients through trauma recovery and resilience-building strategies.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to deliver effective therapeutic interventions.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that encourage patients to process their trauma, cultivate coping strategies, and foster healing.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate assistance is available.
  • Engage in close collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, ensuring a holistic and integrated approach to patient care.
  • Maintain precise and confidential documentation complying with all legal, ethical, and healthcare regulations.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, case consultations, and professional development workshops focused on trauma-informed care practices.
  • Stay current with ongoing research and developments in the field of trauma therapy to ensure the application of best practices in your work.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals who have experienced trauma, including those diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your expertise will be crucial in providing empathetic and specialized mental health care, guiding these individuals toward recovery and empowerment.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience working within a mental health counseling role.
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, exhibiting a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to patient interactions.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard computer applications relevant to documentation and patient care.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions is highly desirable.
  • Experience in a community health setting or outpatient clinic is a plus.
