Job description

Transportation Specialist

We are seeking aย Transportation Specialist. The transportation specialist provides safe, reliable, and timely transportation services for residents while assisting with personal care tasks as needed. Ensures resident safety, comfort, and positive experiences under the direction of the Healthcare Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport residents to appointments, activities, and errands safely; communicate schedules in advance.
  • Maintain company vehicles in safe, clean, and working condition; report maintenance issues.
  • Assist residents with hygiene, dressing, toileting, ambulation, and medication reminders.
  • Document resident progress and follow Individual Service Plans (ISP).
  • Uphold HIPAA confidentiality, community policies, and safety procedures.
  • Support community operations, including tours, mail distribution, dining assistance, and emergency response.
  • Participate in staff meetings, in-service trainings, and safety committees.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum six months caregiving experience, preferably with elderly residents.
  • CPR certification within 90 days.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand, bend, walk, climb stairs, and assist residents with mobility.
