Job description

Performance Drone Works (PDW) is building the next generation of tactical robotic systems used across defense, national security, and public safety missions. We are building a new center of engineering excellence to design our new category of tactical robotic systems and the industrial capacity to deliver them, bringing decisive airpower into the hands of every operator. We are not here to make promises; we are here to deliver real systems with real capabilities for real missions.
You will join a team of operators, engineers, and builders who solve hard problems with humility and focus. We design and produce multi-mission aerial systems that operators trust to perform in real-world conditions, reliably, repeatedly, and at scale. Our approach is grounded in operator-centered design, rapid iteration from field use, and U.S.-based manufacturing. We operate by a clear set of values: Mission First, Aim Farther, Own It, Win Together. This is how we build advantage and how we help protect our service members, our communities, and our country.
As PDW continues to scale, we are seeking a highly organized and execution-focused Asset Manager to support the Solutions Engineering organization and broader Go-To-Market (GTM) team. This role will be based onsite in Huntsville, AL and will play a critical role in ensuring customer demonstrations, testing events, and GTM operations execute seamlessly. The successful candidate will serve as the operational backbone for demo readiness, equipment preparation, and inventory management, allowing distributed teams to focus on delivering exceptional customer and mission outcomes.
What You'll Do
  • Prepare, stage, configure, and validate equipment for customer demonstrations and testing events.
  • Coordinate setup and teardown of demo and test environments for Solutions Engineering, Sales, and Marketing teams.
  • Ensure all systems, hardware, and supporting equipment are operational and event-ready prior to team arrival.
  • Serve as the onsite point-of-contact for visiting GTM personnel during demonstrations and testing activities.
  • Maintain and manage GTM inventory, including asset tracking, storage organization, lifecycle management, and equipment readiness.
  • Coordinate repairs, replacements, and procurement requests related to demo and test equipment.
  • Develop and maintain standardized workflows, checklists, and operational procedures for repeatable demo/test execution.
  • Partner closely with Solutions Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations teams to support GTM initiatives.
  • Support logistics planning for trade shows, customer visits, internal events, and field demonstrations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce setup times, and minimize event execution risks.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in logistics, operations, asset management, technical support, or related roles.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working hands-on with hardware, demo equipment, and technical systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience supporting demonstrations, labs, testing environments, or field engineering activities preferred.
  • Experience with inventory management systems or asset tracking tools preferred.
  • Salesforce and Microsoft Office proficiency preferred.
  • Basic technical aptitude in networking, hardware setup, or systems configuration preferred.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to travel with assets, as needed, up to 20%.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.

Physical Requirements
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move about regularly throughout the day and lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Must have manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, and phones. Must be physically capable of walking between the office and production areas and supporting onsite demonstration and testing activities.
Work Environment
This position primarily operates onsite at PDW's Huntsville, AL headquarters (DF01) and may include exposure to office, warehouse, manufacturing, and outdoor environments. This role requires the use of standard office equipment and hands-on interaction with technical hardware and demo systems. The environment is fast-paced and requires strong collaboration across Solutions Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations teams.
Benefits
PDW values our team, and we offer a compensation package reflective of your experience and capabilities. Benefits may include:
  • Comprehensive BCBS medical, dental, and vision coverage; 80% sponsored by the company.
  • Safe Harbor 401(K) with company match.
  • Paid Parental Leave.
  • A work environment that encourages teamwork and innovation.
  • On-site gym.
  • Employer provided life insurance.
  • Robust Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  • Competitive salary, generous paid time off (PTO), and flexible leave options.
