Job description

Job Summary:
Performance Drone Works (PDW) builds technologies for the warfighter, by the warfighter. They are seeking a Product Manager for AM Aircraft who will be the strategic and product lead responsible for defining, executing, and scaling the product vision for the AM category within PDW’s product portfolio.
Responsibilities:
• Define and evolve the AM product category vision, configuration strategy, and roadmap in alignment with PDW’s business strategy and customer needs. Ensuring designs can be scaled to customer demand while driving down costs.
• Lead market, competitor, and customer analyses to identify opportunities and threats within tactical UAS and related mission domains.
• Translate one-way strike, ISR, and payload delivery needs from military, civilian, and international partners into product strategies. Optimize product decisions around mission types.
• Drive product design decisions that enable high-rate manufacturing and rapid assembly.
• Make trade decisions between endurance, cost, performance, and scale.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive capability requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for the AM portfolio and AM configurations and mission-specific variants.
• Prioritize features, tradeoffs, and investments across hardware, software, sensor suites, and mission payloads.
• Partner with systems engineering to ensure requirements are technically feasible, testable, and aligned with pertinent standards (NDAA/Blue UAS compliance)
• Own operator experience including control systems, training requirements, and usability.
• Serve as the primary product liaison to Engineering, Program Management, Test & Flight Operations, Sustainment, and Operations teams.
• Partner with GTM to gather voice-of-the-customer feedback, identify product gaps and product improvements, and product use cases.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Background in Engineering, Systems Design, Computer Science, or related field.
• 7+ years’ experience in product management or product ownership in aerospace, defense systems, or unmanned systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge of UAS product domains, mission requirements, and DoD acquisition ecosystems.
• Strong technical acumen in electro-mechanical systems, software platforms, and modular payload architectures.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence technical and business stakeholders.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
Preferred:
• Experience with Group 1 / Class I UAS, including FPV or attritable multirotor systems.
• Background in user-centered design, operational testing, and iterative product development.
