Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry/Neuro position requiring an active AZ or compact RN license and at least 2 years of recent telemetry experience.

Details
  • Acute care setting in a Level 1 Trauma hospital
  • Unit: Cardiopulmonary Telemetry and Neuro (B3A), a 26-bed unit
  • Patient population includes neuro, CVA, pulmonary, and general telemetry cases
  • Patient ratio of 1:3-4 with dedicated Charge Nurse and PCT support (1 PCT per 13 patients)
  • Uses Cerner EMR
  • Centralized telemetry monitoring; RNs must be able to interpret EKGs
  • Utilizes Airvo/High Flow equipment
  • 12-hour day shifts (7a-7p)
  • Every other weekend required
  • First to float, with possible floating to a sister facility
  • 24/7 RT and pharmacy support available
  • Hospitalist rounds during the day and remains on call overnight
Requirements
  • Active AZ state or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent telemetry/neuro RN experience (within the past 6 months)
  • Must pass a Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam 24-48 hours prior to position acceptance (maximum 2 attempts)
  • Must pass a pass/fail Sim Lab on day one of orientation
  • Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility
  • Copy of driver's license required for consideration
