The 4EC team operates a 32-bed medical-surgical unit, providing care to patients with a range of medical illnesses through their hospitalist physician program. Additionally, they serve as a step-down stroke unit, offering continued care to patients until they are ready for discharge.

Patient Care Technician Details
Essential Job Duties:
  • Collaborate with RN staff to assess patients' needs and report concerns.
  • Assist in developing and modifying care plans, prioritize patient problems, and perform medical tasks.
  • Provide patient education, follow policies, respond to emergencies, and act as a patient advocate while respecting rights and confidentiality.
  • Evaluate interventions, maintain professionalism, and seek assistance when needed.

Qualifications:
  • Basic medical knowledge and patient care procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a healthcare team.

License/Certification:
Candidate must have one of the following:
• Valid Indiana CNA license, or
• Agree to complete the Union Health PCT Training program upon hire.
• Must be certified in healthcare provider BLS upon hire.
