Patient Care Technicians often encounter challenges such as balancing multiple patient needs, handling physically demanding tasks, and maintaining emotional resilience in stressful situations. Effective time management, clear communication with nursing staff, and utilizing available resources can help manage these demands. Many facilities offer training and mentorship programs to support new PCTs, and teamwork is essential for distributing workload and ensuring quality patient care. Building strong relationships with both colleagues and patients can also make daily responsibilities more manageable and rewarding.

Who gets paid more, PCT or CNA?

In general, Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) tend to earn higher wages than Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) due to additional responsibilities and required skills. PCTs often perform more complex tasks and may need additional certifications, which can lead to higher pay. However, salaries vary by location, facility, and experience.
