What skills and qualifications are needed to be a PCT assistant?

To thrive as a PCT (Patient Care Technician) Assistant, you need a solid understanding of basic patient care, vital signs monitoring, and infection control, usually backed by a high school diploma and completion of a PCT training program or certification. Strong communication, compassion, and teamwork skills help build trust and ensure effective care delivery. These qualifications and skills are crucial for providing safe, attentive support to patients and collaborating efficiently with healthcare teams.
