Job description

  • Lead WME's global network and voice estate across eight sites
  • Lead, develop, hire, coach, and manage four globally distributed network and voice engineers
  • Own on-call, escalation, backup coverage, and workload models across time zones and sites
  • Own LAN/WAN architecture and operations, Cisco switching, campus/data-center networking, Palo Alto routing, site-to-site VPN, SD-WAN, circuits, DNS, DHCP, and IPAM
  • Own hybrid-cloud WAN and circuit connectivity, including Azure ExpressRoute/VPN
  • Own enterprise wireless architecture, performance, operations, and WiFi contractor work
  • Manage Palo Alto NGFW security policies, threat prevention, URL filtering, routing, and VPN
  • Implement and operate Zero Trust, segmentation, 802.1X, NAC, remote-access VPN, and SASE/SSE connectivity
  • Partner with cybersecurity on security incident response and triage
  • Own VoIP and unified communications, including Cisco Call Manager, dial plans, SIP trunking, PSTN, E911, and QoS
  • Own monitoring, observability, capacity planning, resilience, failover, disaster recovery, change management, and documentation
  • Own physical network infrastructure, cabling, IDF/MDF, patching, and hardware lifecycle
  • Drive network automation and infrastructure-as-code using Ansible, Python, and platform automation
  • Manage network and voice vendors, hardware/circuit lifecycle, renewals, and AI/AIOps tooling
Requirements
  • 8+ years in network engineering with progressive responsibility, including team-lead or people-management experience
  • Deep routing and switching, Cisco switching, and campus/data-center networking
  • Palo Alto NGFW management, security policy, threat prevention, URL filtering, firewall routing, and site-to-site VPN
  • DNS, DHCP, and IP address management (IPAM)
  • Enterprise wireless (WLAN) design and operations
  • Zero Trust architecture, 802.1X, NAC, and network segmentation
  • Remote-access VPN and secure connectivity, including GlobalProtect, SASE/SSE, or equivalent
  • VoIP, Cisco Call Manager (CUCM), SIP trunking, PSTN, and E911
  • Internet circuit and carrier/ISP relationship management
  • Azure ExpressRoute/VPN and hybrid-cloud networking
  • Load balancing/application delivery and network automation/scripting with Ansible, Python, or equivalent
  • Experience partnering with security teams on incident response and triage
  • Distributed/global network operations across multiple sites and time zones
  • Hiring, developing, and leading engineers
