Job Description

SUMMARY

U.S. Bank is seeking a highly effective and dynamic Lead Payment Card Industry Compliance Advisor to support Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard compliance activities across the Consumer and Business Banking (CBB) business line. This role serves as the primary subject matter expert (SME) for PCI compliance and acts as the lead advisor for PCI-related assessments, compliance activities, stakeholder engagement, and remediation efforts.
The Lead Payment Card Industry Compliance Advisor partners with business line, technology, information security, and enterprise risk stakeholders to facilitate compliance with PCI requirements, drive assessment readiness activities, and support the ongoing management of PCI-related risks. This position provides strategic input, recommendations, and subject matter expertise to leadership while coordinating execution of the business line's PCI compliance program.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Serve as the Lead Payment Card Industry Compliance Advisor and primary business line subject matter expert for PCI Data Security Standard requirements.

- Coordinate business line PCI compliance activities, including assessment readiness, evidence collection, scope validation, and remediation tracking.

- Partner with business, technology, information security, and enterprise stakeholders to facilitate ongoing compliance with PCI requirements.

- Lead the identification, documentation, and maintenance of PCI scope, including cardholder data environments (CDEs), connected systems, supporting technologies, and business processes.

- Coordinate PCI assessments and act as the primary liaison between business line stakeholders, Qualified Security Assessors (QSAs), and enterprise partners.

- Provide subject matter expertise and consultative guidance on PCI requirements, control implementation, and compliance obligations.

- Identify compliance gaps, control weaknesses, and emerging risks and recommend practical remediation approaches.

- Track and report progress of PCI-related remediation activities, risk mitigation efforts, and compliance initiatives.

- Support business and technology projects by evaluating potential PCI impacts and providing compliance guidance.

- Develop documentation, process maps, inventories, and compliance artifacts required to support PCI assessments.

- Monitor changes to PCI standards and industry requirements and provide recommendations regarding potential business impacts.

- Deliver PCI education and awareness to stakeholders and business partners.

- Provide strategic input and recommendations to leadership regarding PCI compliance activities, emerging risks, and remediation priorities.

- Escalate significant compliance concerns, control deficiencies, and assessment issues as appropriate.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Typically more than eight years of applicable experience.
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience.

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

- Considerable knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact their assigned line of business.
- Considerable understanding of the business line's operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls.
- Thorough knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies.
- Strong analytical, process facilitation and project management skills.
- Effective presentation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective relationship building and negotiation skills.
- Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office applications and word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations.
- Applicable professional certifications.

LOCATION EXPECTATIONS

- This role requires working onsite from a U.S. Bank location three or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $119,765.00 - $140,900.00
