Job description

At SolAps, we're building the future of connected solar technology. The ChargeBot is just the beginning. We are seeking a talented Hardware Engineer specializing in IoT to help design the next generation of smart solar circuits, battery management systems, and bluetooth connectivity modules. You will work closely with our software and manufacturing teams to ensure our hardware not only performs efficiently under the sun but talks seamlessly to the SolAps app.

What You'll Do
  • Design and prototype low-power IoT circuits and PCB layouts for wearable solar applications.
  • Develop and optimize Battery Management Systems (BMS) for varying environmental conditions.
  • Integrate BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) modules for reliable data transmission to mobile apps.
  • Collaborate with overseas manufacturing partners to oversee transition from prototype to mass production.
  • Conduct rigorous hardware testing, including thermal, stress, and efficiency profiling of solar cells.
Requirements
  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in hardware design, specifically in low-power consumer electronics or IoT devices.
  • Proficiency in PCB design software (Altium, Eagle, or KiCad).
  • Experience with battery management systems, power electronics, and solar charging circuits is a major plus.
