Job Title:Patient Care Associate - Full time - All hospitalsDepartment:

The Patient Care Associate (PCA) functions as an integral member of a team of care providers on a patient care unit, reflect a culture of cooperation, enthusiasm, and mutual respect. The team, consisting of the Registered Nurse, and the Patient Care Associate provides patient care and supportive services that are directed towards achievement of patient care outcomes, maximizing the patient's involvement in his/her own plan of care, improving services levels, and reducing decreasing costs. Patients and their family will experience the benefits of patient focused care through the integrated skills of all care team members. The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is committed to enhancing the quality of care our patients receive.


Minimum Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent education and experience preferred; Previous patient care experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred; Strong customer service, organizational and time management skills; Successful completion of PCA training course required after hire.

Additional Information:

You will be required to attend a week long PCA training/orientation which is held Monday through Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
