We are seeking an IT Support Technician I to join our North Bethesda, Maryland office. This role is ideal for a motivated individual who enjoys working in a hands-on environment, supporting end users, and resolving day-to-day technical issues, while working under the direction of the Firm’s IT Manager. The IT Support Technician I will play an important role in maintaining our technology infrastructure by providing helpdesk support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and assisting with the setup and deployment of workstations and equipment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their IT career while delivering high-quality service to internal users and contributing to the overall efficiency of the Firm’s technology operations.
Summary:
Responsible for support of PCs, printers, and related equipment in person, by phone, and through remote screen sharing. Also provides end user support, upgrades, setting up new computers, and other online technologies. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following essential job functions:
Essential Job Functions:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Provide helpdesk support and resolve PC and related problems both onsite and remotely.
  • Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT helpdesk.
  • Provide support for basic IT issues such as password resets, peripheral configurations, desktop/laptop and tablet configurations, software installations and hardware repair.
  • Install, test and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment and software.
  • Maintain inventory of all equipment, software and software licenses.
  • Manage PC setup and deployment for new employees using standard hardware and software.
  • Perform timely workstation hardware and software upgrades as required.
  • Provision new hardware for new and existing users and reimage computers.
  • Support new hires, employee changes and terminations.
  • Handle other projects as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
Typically requires a high school diploma, or equivalent. (2) years of relevant technical experience preferred. Associates degree in Information Systems, or related, preferred. Experience with Windows required.
Skills:
Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion is a must. Requires a solutions-oriented, problem solver with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective work relationships.
Wage and Salary Compensation Information:
Minimum Annual Salary $50,000 – Maximum Annual Salary $75,000.
