Summary:

Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician repairs and maintains production equipment and buildings to company standard.

Job Duties:

The list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  1. PC to PLC program maintenance, troubleshooting, and control devices
  2. Effectively use hand tools and electric or pneumatic power tools
  3. Perform preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance on equipment
  4. Read electrical schematics
  5. Diagnose cause of electrical and mechanical failure of operational equipment
  6. Set up new equipment lines and equipment changeovers
  7. Train production and other maintenance personnel
  8. Ability to work with minimal supervision and complete projects on due dates
  9. Work on electrical systems up to 480 VAC
  10. Strong knowledge in motor control circuits, automated valves and process controls
  11. Ensure that all processes are followed
  12. Complete daily work order log
  13. Complete PM’s as assigned
  14. Follow parts check out procedure
  15. Follow all GMP standards
  16. All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Electrical Maintenance preferred or High School Diploma plus at least three years of related experience
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis
  • Experience with a Windows-based computer system (Microsoft Office programs and Maintenance Work Order software)
  • Ability to read and comprehend documents such as blueprints, schematics, work orders, etc.
  • Ability to write standard documentation and effectively present information to other employees
  • This position may require forklift certification
