Job description

Quebec City, Canada | Posted on 04/15/2026

Forged by 30 years of expertise, BKOM Studios is starting its most ambitious chapter. With the support of the AONIC group, we are moving from services to creating our own titles.

We are not looking for a ticket manager โ€” we are looking for someone who will build our new way of delivering games. A leader capable of structuring production to successfully carry fantastic IPs.

Mandate: Make it your business

You are the anchor point between the studio's vision and the teams' reality.

1. Building the studio's future
  • Adapt production: No more outsourcing, we are creating our own games. You will implement the methods that match this new reality โ€” long-term planning, prototyping, greenlight.
  • Shine with AONIC: Be BKOM's ambassador within the group. Share our successes (and our less successful moments) so we can all level up.
  • Leave a lasting impression: What you build must last. We are not looking for "quick wins."
2. Growing production
  • Direct coaching: You supervise our producers and help them anticipate issues, grow, and take ownership of their mandates.
  • In Tune with the Whole Team: You know the workload, aspirations, and limits of everyone. You anticipate frustrations before they become problems.
  • Technical impact: You are involved in the studio's technological choices.
3. Staying the course daily
  • Staffing & priorities: You manage resources across projects. You know where to focus efforts for the studio to succeed, and you take charge of it.
  • No surprises: You keep an eye on the risks and arrive with concrete solutions before things go off track.
  • Visibility: You ensure that senior management is always fully informed of the real progress. No filter.
Requirements The Must-Haves
  • Collaborative leadership: You know when to listen, when to decide, and when to trust. You lead with humility and courage, prioritizing impact and ideas over titles or rank.
  • Vision & Execution: Comfortable in a strategy meeting as well as in the heat of the action.
  • Technical DNA: Concrete background in development (C++, C#, or equivalent). You understand the challenges of the developers because you have lived them.
  • Solid experience: 15+ years in game production, with a history of developing original projects (IP).
  • Direct supervision: You have already managed a team of producers and know what it takes to help them grow.
The Assets
  • Having experienced the transition of a service studio towards the creation of original products.
  • Knowledge of Unreal Engine or Unity pipelines and console/PC realities.
  • Being comfortable in a humanโ€‘sized studio where the impact is immediate.
  • Contract: Full-time, permanent position (37.5 hrs/week) with a hybrid work model (Quebec City).
  • Competitive remuneration: A salary that reflects your expertise.
  • Benefits & Perks: Comprehensive group insurance, RRSP with employer contribution, telemedicine and EAP, guaranteed treatment plan (illness), monthly wellness credits via the TEDY platform, and free healthy snacks at the studio.
  • Workโ€‘life balance: Office closure during the Holiday season, a company culture rooted in respect and fun, and plenty of team social activities!
Why BKOM?
  • A rare challenge: Redefining the production of an established studio after 30 years โ€” with the AONIC group behind you.
  • Zero politics: Honesty, mutual aid, results. Moving the game forward in the right direction is everyone's business.
