Senior Manager, Financial Change Order

An individual who joins our team will be responsible for building and maintaining business rules and processes to ensure client change requests are financially assessed before implementation. The team's primary goal is to ensure proper financial controls and improve CVS Caremark client level financial performance by placing proper controls around implementation of programs or changes to a client's benefit or formulary design.

  • Be responsible for evaluating potential financial impact of a plan design change using existing models or by working with internal partners for the coalition segment.
  • Lead a team of 3-4 direct reports.
  • Support the development of new tools user acceptance testing.
  • Support training of existing or new team members on processes.
  • Work collaboratively with other financial change order team members.
  • Access data via Excel and tools such as SQL/ SAS and use financial change order models to model projected rebate guarantee impact analysis.
  • Coordinate the efforts across company teams that can include Sales, Analytic Consulting Services, Clinical Operations, Underwriting, and other departments to ensure proper controls are in place to review changes to a client's benefit design, formulary, or implementation of a product.
  • Provide consultative support to internal stakeholders on analysis including but not limited to sales, underwriting and underwriting analytics teams.
  • This role will be supporting the client specific analyses and discussionsand provide consultative support on additional ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
  • This individual will be responsible on interacting with external stakeholders and clients directly and have the ability to articulate the results of the analysis in a clear, concise manner and meeting the expected deadlines of requested analysis for this client.

    Required Qualifications

    • 7 + years professional experience in data analytics, finance, pricingor process improvement role or equivalent combination of professional experience and education
    • 1+ year working with PBM data or PBM financial analysis.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in Microsoft Excel-based analysisand SQL
    • Strong organizational, multi-tasking and critical thinking skill sets are required.
    • Ability to story tell the findings in clear, concise way when articulating the findings of the analysis to sales, underwriting and other stakeholders.
    • This is a Sales team and potential client facing role, strong communication skill is a must.
    • Prior experience or knowledge of PBM industry or pharmaceuticals is preferred.
    • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage tight deadlinesand competing priorities.
    • Prior experience designing, implementing, and optimizing new business processes.
    • Demonstrated experience using business analytics to problem solve data-driven questions.
    • Experience extracting, manipulating, and analyzing Big Data (databases containing multiple terabytes of data) and then using it to draw relevant conclusions.
    • Strong presentation and communication skills with experience presenting to various business groups.
    • Ability to interact with others in a collegial and professional manner and help foster teamwork and knowledge sharing to complete key tasks.

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional work experience required
    • Degree related to finance, mathematics, operations, statistics, actuarial science, data science, economics or other data related fields preferred.

    Pay Range

    The typical pay range for this role is:

    $75,400.00 - $182,549.00


    This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
