Pay Transparency Statement
Target Salary: $85,000 - $105,000 annually

Job Summary
The Payroll Manager is responsible for the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of payroll for the organization. This role oversees all payroll operations, ensures adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, and maintains strong internal controls and audit readiness.
This role partners with peers in Human Resources and Total Rewards, as well as Finance, to ensure accurate payroll-related reporting, deductions, and reconciliations, while delivering high-quality employee experience and driving continuous process improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including calculation of wages, overtime, taxes, and deductions for all employees
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including wage and hour laws, tax withholding, and reporting requirements
- Partner with Finance to support general ledger alignment, account reconciliation, and month-end close activities
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls, including segregation of duties and approval workflows
- Track, reconcile, and ensure accuracy of payroll-related accounts, including taxes, benefits deductions, and withholdings
- Serve as system owner for payroll systems (e.g., UKG), including configuration, testing, and upgrades
- Communicate proactively to employees on payroll and time related matters, and respond to employee and manager inquiries and resolve payroll-related issues in a timely manner
- Serve as a subject matter expert on payroll and time policies and procedures
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field
5-7+ years of experience, including supervisory degree
Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax requirements, and wage and hour laws
Proficiency with payroll systems (UKG preferred) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet critical deadlines.
Sound judgement, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
Requires someone to sit for long periods of time, talk on the phone, and enter information into the computer for at least 80% of the day. Infrequent light physical effort required, consistent with working in an office.
