Payroll Accountant - Boston - Hybrid 

A growing global professional services firm is seeking a Payroll Accountant to join its expanding Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional with strong accounting skills to play a key role in supporting a rapidly scaling organization with both domestic and international operations.

What You'll Do

  • Process and support U.S. payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely employee payments
  • Prepare payroll-related journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
  • Manage payroll accounting for compensation, bonuses, PTO, benefits, and related liabilities
  • Reconcile payroll taxes and support quarter-end and year-end reporting activities
  • Partner closely with HR, Finance, and external payroll providers to resolve payroll and benefits issues
  • Maintain data integrity across payroll, HRIS, and ERP systems
  • Support process improvements, internal controls, and audit readiness initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, 2+ years of payroll accounting experience
  • Experience with payroll, HRIS, ERP systems, and Excel
  • Experience with multi-state payroll processing is a plus
  • CPP certification or progress toward certification is highly desirable
