Job Summary

The Retirement Plan Onboarding Consultant is responsible for coordinating the implementation of new retirement plan clients onto our Retirement Plan Services platform. This role serves as the primary point of contact throughout the onboarding process, partnering with plan sponsors, advisors, payroll providers, and internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from sale through go-live. The consultant also supports the Sales team by providing onboarding expertise, participating in client discovery and plan setup discussions, and helping clients understand plan design and operational requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage the onboarding and implementation of 20-30 new retirement plan clients from sale through go-live.

  • Assist with plan setup meetings to gather payroll and operational requirements.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for plan sponsors, advisors, and internal teams throughout implementation.

  • Partner with Sales by providing onboarding expertise, implementation guidance, and support during client transition discussions.

  • Develop and manage onboarding timelines, deliverables, and project milestones to ensure successful implementations.

  • Coordinate activities across Recordkeeping, TPA Administration, Payroll Integration, and Client Services teams.

  • Complete setup and configuration of startup and conversion plans, including plan documents, enrollments, and related implementation activities.

  • Train plan sponsors on payroll submission procedures and ongoing administrative processes.

Primary Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent retirement industry experience preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience preferred in retirement plan administration, recordkeeping, TPA services, client onboarding, or implementation.

  • Working knowledge of qualified retirement plans, including 401(k), Profit Sharing, and Safe Harbor plans.

  • Experience managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and retirement plan administration/workflow systems such as PensionPro.

  • Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
