 Staff Accountant

Location: Concord, NH
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
Department: Finance
Reports to: Controller


Position Overview

Granite VNA is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Controller, this position plays an important role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day operations of our accounting function.


The Staff Accountant will be responsible for accounts payable processing, assisting with payroll, general ledger reconciliations, monthly journal entries, financial analysis, reporting, and audit support. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working collaboratively, solving problems, and ensuring financial accuracy in a mission-driven healthcare organization.


What You'll Do


Accounts Payable
  • Receive, review, verify, and reconcile vendor invoices and supporting documentation.
  • Enter invoices into the accounting system and ensure appropriate approvals are obtained.
  • Ensure invoices and other financial transactions are accurately coded to the appropriate General Ledger accounts.
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and vendor questions.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with vendors and colleagues at all levels of the organization.
General Accounting & Financial Reporting
  • Assist with monthly reconciliations of assigned General Ledger accounts.
  • Assist with the preparation and processing of monthly journal entries.
  • Provide financial and data analysis as requested.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports and information required for local, state, and federal filings.
  • Support annual financial and 401(k) audits by providing documentation and information as requested.
Payroll Support
  • Serve as a backup for payroll processing and assist with payroll-related activities as needed.

  1. Bachelors degree or higher preferred in accounting or business. 
  2. Minimum of two years accounting experience within healthcare environment preferred.
