Job description

Jasco is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to oversee payroll processing, payroll tax administration, compliance reporting, and payroll audit activities for a multi-state U.S. workforce. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll administration while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
The ideal candidate will have experience with multi-state payroll processing, payroll tax compliance, HRIS systems, payroll audits, time and attendance systems, and payroll reporting. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, discretion, analytical skills, and the ability to manage highly confidential employee information.
  • Payroll Administration. Process payroll administration for a multi-state workforce, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, resolving complex payroll issues, coordinating funding activities, and producing standard and ad hoc reports.
  • Payroll Tax & Regulatory Compliance. Research and apply federal, state, and local payroll regulations while ensuring compliance with payroll tax requirements, completing required government filings, and establishing and maintaining multi-state payroll tax accounts as needed.
  • Audits & Reporting. Ensure payroll records are accurate and audit-ready by maintaining documentation, supporting internal and external audits, and providing payroll analysis and reporting.
  • Process Improvement & Policy Administration. Develop and maintain payroll policies and procedures, recommend operational improvements, and support training initiatives to strengthen compliance, efficiency, and team expertise.
  • HRIS, Timekeeping & Employee Records. Maintain employee records and timekeeping administration, provide training and support on attendance procedures, and maintain confidentiality of payroll, employee, and company information.
  • Team Support. Assist with organizational projects, employee events, company communications, organizational charts, and other Team Member Services initiatives. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience processing payroll in a business environment.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience using HRIS, payroll, or workforce management systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to discreetly manage sensitive and highly confidential information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of advanced payroll processing experience.
  • Experience supporting payroll within Human Resources functions.
  • Experience with Paycom payroll platform.
  • Multi-state payroll processing experience.
  • Familiarity with FLSA, DOL and IRS rules and regulations
