Job description

Our client, a leading regional financial institution, is seeking an experienced AML/KYC(Banking Oversight Analyst)"

Location: Boston, MA(preferred)/ NYC/Johsnton RI (Hybrid)
Duration: Long-Term Contract

Summary:
The Oversight Analyst is responsible for the ongoing monitoring, risk oversight, and governance of Commercial Third-Party Deposit Partners (CTPDPs). This role supports the Embedded Banking organization by executing monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc oversight activities designed to identify, assess, escalate, and document risks associated with third-party partners, and their customers. The Analyst serves as a key liaison between partners, relationship management, risk management, AML, and other stakeholders to ensure adherence to bank policies, regulatory requirements, and risk appetite.
Primary Responsibilities
Ongoing Partner Oversight

  • Review monthly partner risk reports and conduct oversight reviews covering:
    • AML and compliance issues
    • OFAC screening results
    • Fraud events
    • Material business changes
    • Third & fourth-party payment activities
    • Unusual activity referrals
  • Participate in partner meetings and maintain documented meeting notes and evidence.
  • Escalate identified risks, control deficiencies, or material issues to appropriate business, risk, AML, and executive stakeholders.
  • Analyze Returned Deposit Item (RDI) reports and perform analysis to determine alignment with established risk thresholds, escalating excessive rates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Review Sanctions and Adverse Media screening results, supporting escalation and remediation efforts.

KYC & Customer Due Diligence Oversight

  • Perform risk-based testing of partner''s customer onboarding files and KYC documentation.
  • Review onboarding packages for completeness and compliance with established standards.
  • Document audit findings, communicate remediation requirements, and escalate unresolved issues.

Governance, Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records and evidence supporting all oversight activities.
  • Prepare management reports, risk summaries, and tracking documentation.
  • Support audits, examinations, internal reviews, and annual partner assessments.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, AML programs, sanctions programs, NACHA requirements, and applicable operating rules.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 2โ€“5 years of experience in payment operations, risk management, compliance, AML, fraud, or third-party risk management.
  • Experience analysing operational, compliance, financial, and fraud-related risks.
  • Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet recurring regulatory and operational deadlines.
  • Bachelor''s degree in business, Finance, Risk Management, Compliance, Accounting, Criminal Justice, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting fintech partnerships and embedded payment programs.
  • Knowledge of ACH, FedWire, RTP and other payment methods.
  • Understanding of AML/BSA, OFAC, NACHA Operating Rules, third-party risk management, and vendor oversight frameworks.
  • Experience working with regulatory examinations, audits, and issue management programs.
