About the role:
Reports to Banking Relationship Manager
The purpose of this role, as part of the Banking Team, is to deliver an efficient payment solution both internally and to our clients.
This newly created role will contribute to the overall success of the Banking structure transforming our client service offerings as we continue to expand as a partner to our clients.
Key responsibilities:
• Review and approval of payments on centralised platform to ensure payments are completed in line with SLA's
• Assist with, and approve / validate, supporting processes to achieve straight through processing of in scope payments
• Liaison with wider Banking Team to ensure payments are completed in line with SLA's
• Liaison within Operations in relation to day-to-day delivery of BAU tasks
• Liaising with client facing teams to support and provide guidance on any payment queries
• Adhering to processes and procedures by following and enforcing the relevant control framework(s)
• Assist in the development and maintenance of the payment policies, procedures and control framework
• Supervise and assist in the training and development of direct line reports
• Participate in the appraisal process for direct line reports
• Provide assistance in ad-hoc projects as required
Skills, knowledge, expertise:
• Prior banking experience is essential
• A good understanding of fund structures / experience in the alternative funds industry is beneficial
• Knowledge of SWIFT and payment messaging is preferred
• Excellent attention to detail
• Professional interpersonal skills are required to develop close working relationships with colleagues and broader business contacts
Training will be provided for in-house technical knowledge and also for any banking systems used. You will need to be quick to learn new systems and great with people, as close working relationships between our colleagues and clients are at the heart of what we do.
