Overview:
The Solution Architect is responsible for designing and delivering end-to-end technology solutions that align with business objectives and enterprise architecture standards. This role bridges the gap between business needs and technical implementation, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Define solution architecture for programs and projects, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards
  • Conduct feasibility and impact analysis for proposed solutions
  • Develop architecture artifacts such as:
  • Initial Design Approach (IDeA/POV)
  • Solution Architecture Document (SAD)
  • Data Flow Diagrams (DFD)
  • Threat Models
  • Provide guidance throughout the solution lifecycle, from ideation to delivery
  • Support Agile planning, estimation, and readiness assessments
  • Ensure compliance with security, governance, and cloud standards
  • Advise on technology platforms, integration patterns, and best practices

Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of IT experience, specifically in architecture or engineering
  • 5+ years financial services industry experience
  • 3+ years of experience in integration services programming and architecture
  • 2+ years proven experience in delivery innovated and newer trends in payments / financial networks - specific examples required
  • Knowledge of Payments data/object/service models
  • Knowledge of HSMs and security models
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and governance practices
  • Knowledge of network integration with 3rd party networks including ACH, RTP and Card Networks
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles and frameworks
  • Expertise in designing complex, distributed systems
  • Ability to create and review architectural artifacts

Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent working experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with cloud technologies - with a focus on AWS
  • 8+ years financial services industry experience
  • 2+ years Digital payment implementation experience
  • 3+ years Previous Bank of America Experience
  • 2+ years Proven experience in delivery innovated and newer trends in payments / financial networks
  • Merchant Service experience
  • Ability to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences
