Job description

Principal Payment Product Readiness Manager

The Principal Payment Product Readiness Manager is responsible for creating Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies to support product adoption for consumer and commercial issuing solutions. This individual will apply the Go-to-Market (GTM) framework and work across multiple stakeholder groups to create solutions that best support the needs of the ever-changing payments ecosystem. Principal Payment Product Readiness Manager's work will support a variety of internal and external clients, including client-facing teams, issuers, merchants, acquirers, digital enablers and payment providers in a global environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Go-to-Market Leadership: Lead the creation of Go-to-Market strategies and plans to drive product adoption

  • Stakeholder Alignment: Lead and facilitate meetings with key stakeholder groups to gather requirements, gain internal alignment on go-to-market program development, and ensure executional delivery

  • Market Strategy and Positioning: Support product positioning in the market by incorporating relevant marketing strategies

  • Content Development: Drive the creation of internal and external content for product education, awareness, marketing, training, general information, and implementation to boost adoption, growth, and retention

  • Market Expertise and Education: Utilize industry, market, and product expertise to proactively educate teams on market developments, emerging themes, and potential partnership opportunities

  • Client Team Communication: Provide consistent communication to client-facing teams regarding product positioning, education on products, industry trends, and exploration

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification

  • At least 5 years of payments industry experience in product-go-to market, technology, operations, customer service, marketing, finance or communications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, Communications or Marketing

  • 6+ years of payments industry experience in product go-to-market, technology, operations, customer service, marketing, finance or communications

  • SAFe (Scale Agile Framework) certification

  • Experience with SQL, Teradata or Splunk

  • Experience launching products or technical services, including success in a global environment

Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
