Payment Engineer (POS) MAHIN-JOB-37000 We are looking for Payment Engineer (POS) in Austin,TX Day 1 onsite ( 3 days a week hybrid) FTE- 125k per annum + benefits Subcon-70 $ per hour ( no layers are accepted) A POS (Point of Sale) Payment Engineer specializes in designing, developing, and maintaining systems and software that facilitate payment transactions in retail, hospitality, and other customer-facing environments. Their work ensures that customers can complete transactions smoothly and securely, whether using credit/debit cards, mobile payments, or other electronic payment methods. Skills and Qualifications Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Java * Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., SQL, Oracle).

Familiarity with payment processing protocols and standards. Experience with POS hardware and peripherals (e.g., card readers, receipt printers). * Understanding of encryption methods and data protection.

Experience with PCI-DSS compliance and other relevant security standards. Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities. * Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.

Clear communication for technical support and collaboration with team members. Ability to document processes and create user guides for system operation.
