Payments Business Analyst
We are seeking a Payments Business Analyst with deep domain expertise across payments processing, clearing & settlement, and digital payments ecosystems. The candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, driving requirements, solution design, and delivery across payment platforms.
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
1. Business & Functional Analysis
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for payments initiatives
• Translate business needs into clear functional specifications and user stories
• Conduct gap analysis between existing and proposed payment systems
• Create BRDs, FRDs, use cases, process flows, and functional specs
2. Payments Domain Expertise
• Work across key payments areas:
o Wire Payments (SWIFT, Fedwire, CHAPS)
o ACH / SEPA
o Real-Time Payments (RTP) / Faster Payments
o Cards & Merchant Payments
• Understand end-to-end payment lifecycle:
o Initiation Validation Clearing Settlement Reconciliation
Domain Skills
• Strong experience in Payments (mandatory)
• Knowledge of:
o ISO 20022
o SWIFT messaging (MT/MX)
o Payment hubs / core banking systems
Salary Range- $90,000-$130,000 a year
