The General Manager's primary responsibility is providing an exceptional customer experience while leading and maintaining the day-to-day operation of the store in compliance with policies and procedures. The General Manager is responsible to coach each team member's performance and success in their individual roles. The General Manager will promote and maintain the highest quality standards of professionalism in serving all customers. General Managers are committed to leading by example at all times, while working with team members in achieving the repair facilities KPIs.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan
  • Lead and manage all repair facility personnel
  • Oversee hiring, training, corrective action and termination
  • Prepare and manage the annual and monthly operating budget of the collision center
  • Forecast, target and track monthly sales, profit and expenses
  • Set performance targets and deliver formal annual performance reviews and informal monthly performance reviews
  • Monitor and maintain all A/P and A/R relating to the Collision Center
  • Provide training for all staff as necessary
  • Ensure all staff wear proper safety gear and adhere to dress code
  • Open and close the facility daily as per established procedures
  • Conduct or coordinate daily production meetings/walks to oversee work in progress and delivery dates
  • Manage all estimates and store capacity
  • Facilitate monthly Health & Safety and staff meetings. Attend monthly managers meetings
  • Attend training, information sessions and workshops recommended by our Leadership Team
  • Maintain a clean and organized repair facility at all times
  • Monitor all maintenance required for all shop equipment, including the paint booth
  • Maintain the The Boyd Group KPI's (Sales/ GP/ EBITA /BHPD/ NPS/ WOW Scores )

Minimum Education and/or Experience Required for the Job

  • Post-Secondary Education or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years leadership experience in a collision repair environment or similar role

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to multitask and function well in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of Google platform and Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
  • Capability to engage with all levels of employees
  • Ability to motivate others utilizing effective coaching tools and management skills

Compensation Details

Salary:
