Title: Accounts Payable Clerk

Location: Canby, OR


Wilson Construction Company is recruiting for an Accounts Payable Clerk.  This is a great opportunity for someone to build on their accounting experience.  We welcome team-oriented candidates with a willingness to learn to join our headquarter office in Canby.


The Accounts Payable Clerk will be in a support role for our Accounts Payable Department, working under the direction of the Accounts Payable Manager.

Responsibilities include the following:


  • Save and disburse all incoming electronic invoices;
  • File, copy, fax, scan and other work-related tasks;
  • Process credit applications for new vendors;
  • Accurately enter, edit and post data into accounting software and Excel;
  • Put Visa statements to spreadsheet;
  • Reconcile Visas that are assigned;
  • Distribute checks;
  • Scan and attach checks and ACH to TimberScan;
  • Save reports from check runs;
  • Assist in 1099 maintenance;
  • Vendor statement reconciling/calling on missing invoices and resolving issues;
  • Create UPS and USPS labels for outgoing checks;
  • Help with year-end projects; and
  • Other duties assigned.

Minimum requirements include:

  • One year of recent Accounts Payable or Professional Office Admin or Clerical experience;
  • Intermediate Level in Excel and Outlook;
  • Alpha and numeric filing skills;
  • Highly detailed, organized and able to follow a systematic method of performing a task;
  • Excels in high volume and fast paced environment;
  • Positive approach to problem solving;
  • Willingness to learn and help where needed;
  • Dependable and reliable;
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of prioritizing workload;
  • Skilled at handling multiple tasks and demonstrating adaptability; and

  • Communicates effectively.


We are willing to train the right candidate that is motivated, willing to learn, and has an interest in developing their skills.

Excellent benefits package including employer paid medical, dental, vision, 401(k), personal time off and holiday pay.  Working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm. This is an in-office position.
