Services Specialist – Site Non-Conformity (NC)

Location: Houston, TX 77079 (Onsite)

Pay Rate: Starting at $37/hour (dependent on experience)

Contract Duration: 1-Year Contract


Role Summary

The Services Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end management, analysis, and resolution of Site Non-Conformities (NC), from initial identification through material resolution and final delivery to site.

This role focuses on proactively leading issue resolution with efficiency and precision while driving accurate defect analysis to support continuous quality improvement initiatives. The Services Specialist also monitors key metrics, ensures timely resolution, and leads efforts to reduce cycle time and backlog (aging).

You will serve as the key point of accountability for NC management within a defined region or area, collaborating cross-functionally and providing regular updates to management.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead defect analysis for each site NC using appropriate tools to determine root cause
  • Accurately document all analysis results and updates in system databases
  • Evaluate potential solutions (technical and financial), collaborating with Engineering and suppliers as needed
  • Manage cost approval processes and authorize relevant sales orders in accordance with DOA (Delegation of Authority)
  • Lead implementation of selected solutions, ensuring proper documentation and cross-functional alignment
  • Ensure adherence to resolution cycle time targets from issue opening through final delivery
  • Drive coordination across functions to ensure timely material delivery to site
  • Manage and lead FOC (Free of Charge) process execution for assigned NCs and region
  • Deliver and maintain accurate reports and status updates for projects and assigned area
  • Participate in and lead (as needed) weekly NC review meetings with stakeholders
  • Partner with Program Managers to develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives (SOS cell improvements)
  • Act as Material Expert and Site NC Lead for assigned scope

Success in this role is measured by:

  • Cycle time of issue resolution
  • Adherence to NC procedures and operating instructions
  • Number of service requests (SR) resolved per week
  • FOC achievements and leadership
  • Number and impact of initiatives managed


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (Engineering or related field preferred)
  • 3 years of experience in:
  • Quality management (required)
  • Non-conformity (NC) management (preferred)
  • Field Service Engineering, FSE (preferred)
  • Engineering roles (preferred)
  • Previous experience in a quality or analytics function (required)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (required)
  • Fluent in English (required)
