Key Responsibilities of the MRI Technologist:
Perform high-quality MRI examinations according to physician orders and department protocols
Screen patients for MRI safety and contraindications prior to imaging procedures
Position patients accurately to obtain optimal diagnostic images
Operate MRI equipment and ensure all imaging procedures are performed safely and efficiently
Monitor patients throughout examinations and respond appropriately to any concerns or emergencies
Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare teams to support patient care
Adhere to MRI safety standards, infection control policies, and departmental procedures
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of recent MRI Technologist experience
Active ARRT (MR) certification or equivalent MRI credential required
Active South Carolina radiologic technologist license (or eligibility)
BLS certification required
Strong knowledge of MRI safety protocols and imaging procedures
Ability to work independently during night shifts in a fast-paced clinical environment
