Job Summary
The Plasma Burn Table Operator supports daily cutting operations by loading and unloading plate material, marking finished parts, and learning to operate the plasma burn table under the guidance of the Burn Table Operator. This role requires safe use of material handling equipment and close attention to part identification and quality.
Plasma Burn Table
1st Shift | Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Pay: $18.00-20.00
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Load and unload plate material from the plasma burn table using an overhead crane and forklift
  • Safely rig, lift, and position steel plate for cutting operations
  • Mark cut parts with correct part numbers immediately as they come off the table
  • Verify part numbers against work orders/cut sheets for accuracy
  • Learn to set up and operate the plasma burn table, including reading cut programs and basic machine functions
  • Report directly to the Burn Table Operator and follow daily production priorities
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area around the burn table, including scrap removal
  • Follow all safety procedures related to crane operation, forklift operation, hot material handling, and PPE use
  • Communicate material shortages, quality issues, or equipment problems to the Burn Table Operator promptly
  • Assist with other material handling or shop duties as assigned
