Job description

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This National Guard position is for a WOOD WORKER (TITLE 32), Position Description Number NGD1218000 and is part of the TN ARMY National Guard.

Qualifications:

Military Grades: E-1 through E-7
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which demonstrates the ability to use hand and powered tools, machines, and measuring and squaring devices to cut, nail, staple, screw, bolt or fasten wood and wood-like boards, sheets, parts, or sections.


SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 1-year at the next lowest WG level or 12 months experience in woodworking techniques to improvise or modify construction plans and patterns; experience in making non-standard containers that incorporate several irregular shapes, sizes, and features; experience in operating woodworking machines to make varied and complex construction features; experience machining complex joints; experience that provides a thorough knowledge of the characteristics of hard and soft woods and wood substitutes used in container construction and repair; experience in determining the type and extent of construction or repair necessary to modify and restore standard and nonstandard containers.
