Job Summary and Qualifications

Job Summary:

The Enterprise Risk & Intelligence Analyst is a critical enterprise role responsible for generating actionable insights that support the Enterprise Emergency Operations Group (EEOG) in anticipating, responding to, and managing operational risks and events across the organization.

This role leads the end-to-end design and execution of research and analysis, transforming complex, evolving information into clear, decision-ready intelligence. The Strategy & Insights Analyst integrates and synthesizes diverse inputs - including internal operational and clinical data, external intelligence, environmental signals, and stakeholder perspectives—to identify emerging risks, assess potential impact, and inform enterprise response and mitigation strategies.

This role applies structured research methodologies and critical thinking to uncover patterns, surface early warning indicators, and provide forward-looking insights that enhance enterprise preparedness and resilience. The role requires the ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritize competing demands, and deliver high-quality insights under tight timelines.

Working in close partnership with EEOG, Hospital Operations, Clinical Operations, Integrated Lines of Business (ILOBs), and external partners, the Research Analyst serves as a strategic advisor - translating complex findings into clear, compelling narratives that enhance situational awareness, strengthen response and risk mitigation, and enable effective, data-informed decision-making across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities:

Data Engineering & Standards:

  • Drive the creation and implementation of enterprise-level data standards and governance practices
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and optimization across EEOG systems and processes
  • Drive automation and process improvement in data collection, transformation, and reporting workflows
  • Evaluate and manage external analytics platforms, tools, and partnerships

Advanced Analytics & Modeling:

  • Develop and apply advanced statistical, predictive, and risk modeling techniques to support operational and strategic decision-making
  • Perform complex analyses to identify trends, risks, and performance insights
  • Design and execute scalable ETL processes to integrate complex, disparate data sources into unified, actionable models
  • Analyze large, complex datasets to identify patterns, outliers, risks, and opportunities, and provide strategic recommendations for risk mitigation and performance improvement

Operational Research & Intelligence Development:

  • Lead research initiatives focused on enterprise security risk, emergency preparedness, and operational response
  • Translate ambiguous, time-sensitive challenges into structured research questions and analytical approaches
  • Monitor and analyze internal and external data sources to identify emerging threats, trends, and operational risks
  • Develop frameworks to assess risk likelihood, impact, and enterprise readiness
  • Identify patterns, root causes, and early warning indicators to proactively inform mitigation strategies

Data Storytelling & Executive Communication:

  • Translate complex analyses into compelling, decision-ready narratives tailored to executive and operational audiences
  • Develop briefings, reports, and visualizations that clearly communicate risks, implications, and recommended actions
  • Integrate diverse data sources (operational, clinical, external intelligence) into cohesive reporting frameworks
  • Ensure outputs are intuitive, actionable, and aligned with the needs of emergency operations teams

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Partner closely with EEOG, Hospital Operations, Clinical Operations, and external agencies to understand evolving needs
  • Act as a trusted advisor, translating research and analysis into operationally relevant guidance
  • Facilitate discussions to interpret findings, validate assumptions, and align on response strategies
  • Participate in enterprise data governance and emergency operations planning efforts

Professionalism and Teamwork:

  • Build strong relationships across teams to support a coordinated, enterprise-wide response capability
  • Continuously enhance expertise in emergency operations, analytics, and research methodologies
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Epidemiology, Statistics, Economics, Health Administration, or a related quantitative or research-focused field
  • 3+ years of experience in research, analytics, or operational intelligence roles, preferably in healthcare, consulting, or a complex enterprise environment
  • 3+ years of experience in working with both quantitative and qualitative data, including integrating operational data with external intelligence, benchmarks, or stakeholder input
  • 3+ years of experience in data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and strong proficiency in analytical tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Excel)
  • 3+ years of experience in synthesizing large, complex, and multi-source data into actionable insights that inform business or operational decisions
  • 3+ years of experience in designing and executing research or analytical projects end-to-end, including problem framing, methodology selection, analysis, and insight delivery

Preferred:

  • Master's degree Data Analytics, Data Science, or similar quantitative or research-focused field
  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare operations, hospital systems, or emergency operations frameworks (e.g., incident command systems, disaster preparedness) preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in supporting time-sensitive or high-stakes decision-making environments, such as healthcare operations, emergency preparedness, risk management, or similar settings
