Mechanical Assembler

If you answered yes to these questions, we are looking for someone like you to join our growing team at Diversified Machine Systems as a Mechanical Assembler! Diversified Machine Systems is a privately held corporation with headquarters located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. We are an industry-leading designer and American manufacturer of 3-axis and 5-axis CNC Routers and machine solutions.
We supply machines to a wide variety of manufacturing sectors including aerospace, automotive, marine, recreational vehicles, 3D sculpture, concept models, pattern making, formed plastic and woodworking among others.

Schedule: Day Shift Available
Monday thru Thursday 7:00am – 4:45pm (45 min lunch) Friday 7:00am – 11:00am
Salary: $18.00 to $22.00 Per Hour – Depending on Experience
Primary Responsibilities:
This position is primarily responsible for assembling products in an efficient manner to maximize production.
  • Performs mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies using hand tools and electronic and pneumatic tooling.
  • Aligns and calibrates using a laser, dial indicator, etc.
  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma; two years or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with manager and staff both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds regularly, lift and move 25 pounds frequently and occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stoop and kneel for frequent periods of time.
  • Must be able to stand to operate machinery.
