Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Security Clearance in Manassas, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in a dynamic tech and telecommunications location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this armed post, you will support daily operations with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity while helping create a people-first experience for everyone on site.

Pay Rate: $27.31 / Hour

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities appropriate for a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, data-sensitive spaces, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or potential security-related concerns.
  • Serve at an armed post in accordance with Allied Universal policies and site requirements, maintaining professional readiness and following all applicable post orders related to security-related duties.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and visitor activity to help support authorized access, protect property, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
